Toa wanted a sequence which playfully hinted at the story about to unfold. Set in Edwardian London, the design references India and its intoxicating spiritual influence on the age. The scenes involved large amounts of illustrated elements, using a ‘paper cutout’ style for the animation. The sequence ends with a magical golden liquid filling the Dean’s glass.
